So Many Memories ...
Years and years ago, when my son Edward asked me if I wanted to be a radio star, I just chuckled and wondered what I had to say to all those people throughout Central Indiana. He just said to be myself and tell people about whatever was on my mind. So, I did. And here we are, more than 30 years later, and still haven't run out of stories.
Here are just a few of the memories I've shared about me, Edward and his Edward's Transmissions and Engines shops. Now some people think I'm exaggerating or making things up. And maybe I do embellish a little bit just once in a while. But this is how a mom remembers life. And I stand by every word.
I remember when Edward started thinking about computers and cars. It all started with an old Atari and his ingenuity.
Our garage is full of so many gadgets that Edward tinkered around with in his youth. I showed them to a neighbor boy the other day...
Then, there was the time when we took a vacation to see the world's largest ball of twine and Edward got into a little trouble.
I've always been proud of my lawn. That's where Enrique comes in. And it's caused some friction between me and my friend Madge.
That darn "check engine" light caused my friend Nancy to freak out. But I told her to chill and let her know that there's nothing to panic about.
After 30 years in business, Edward and his team can claim to be the experts in transmission and engine work. But I'm an expert, too.
What do pet rocks and mood rings and CB radios have to do with my son Edward? Well he always had to be the expert at something.
It's all about "caring" - I've told that to Edward a thousand times. You have to care about your customers and make their lives easier.
One time, Edward came over and we got to talking about zombies and how he needs to bring some dead cars back to life.
The holidays are a special time for our family and the entire team at Edward's Transmissions and Engines. Here are some memories.
We've had some bad winters lately and they can cause so many problems. Good thing Edward's Transmissions is ready to help.
